How BrawlSignal works

BrawlSignal turns recent Brawl Stars battles into honest picks: which brawler to play on the map in front of you. This page explains where the data comes from, how picks are ranked, and the lines we will not cross.

Where the data comes from

BrawlSignal reads public data from the public Brawl Stars API: recent battles and basic profile info. It works from recent battle data, never private account details, and never asks for a password or login. Map pages are built from community battles from the last 30 days. Your Signal Picks are built from your own recent battles, once you enter your player tag.

How picks are ranked

Every number starts from decisive battles — wins and losses for a brawler on one map, in one mode. Draws are left out. Brawlers are then ranked by how much evidence stands behind their win rate, not by the win rate alone, and not by how recent the battles are.

  • Bigger, more decisive samples rank higher. A 90% win rate over 10 battles can sit below a 66% win rate over 300 — ten battles can be a lucky streak; three hundred almost never are.
  • The win rate you see is the raw value: wins divided by decisive battles. We rank cautiously, but we never display an adjusted number.
  • Every number is scoped to one map and one mode context — the same brawler can be great on one map and poor on the next.
  • Your own battles come first. Once you have played a map, your history outranks the community average for your picks.

Why sample size matters

Sample size is the count of decisive battles behind a win rate — how much recent battle data actually stands behind a pick. It is always one tap away in a pick’s Details, with its unit ("1,840 battles", never a bare number). A rate over thousands of battles means far more than one over a handful, and when the sample behind your pick is thin, the card says so in words: "Some data", "Thin data".

Map pages vs your Signal Picks

Map pages show recent community stats for a map — how brawlers are performing across many players in the last 30 days. Your Signal Picks are different: you get personalized picks after entering your tag, built from your own recent battles rather than the community average. A community-based pick always says it is "not your battles yet", and it never wears the look of a personal pick.

Why our wording is cautious

The meta shifts as balance changes and players adapt, so we use current, recent framing — "in the last 30 days", never "this season". We describe what the data shows now, not what will be true forever. When we are not sure, the card says so.

What BrawlSignal will never do

A few lines we will not cross, because trust matters more than hype:

  • No fake certainty — we never claim a pick is a sure thing, and we show the sample behind every number.
  • No spending, leveling, or grinding advice — we only read battle outcomes, not how you should invest.
  • No made-up map knowledge — if a claim is not in the data, it is not on the page.
  • Unofficial — BrawlSignal is not affiliated with or endorsed by Supercell.
